They are young men, between 19 and 24 years old. One used to be addicted to online video games. Another was a womanizer. Now, they’ve all made the decision to become Dominican monks.
The film follows Daniel, Julian, Simon and Jonathan’s unique stories throughout their long years as novices. It documents daily life in a small, isolated community, and draws power from the openness and intelligence of four young men who have voluntarily disconnected from a world that each wants to change in his own way.
Never shying away from sensitive topics, they share their thoughts on society and the Church, and speak frankly about the challenges and prejudices they have faced since making this leap.
